I received this note from Ricky Lannetti’s mother today, and I thought you might be interested in reading it:

My name is Theresa Drew, I am Ricky Lannetti ’s mother, Father Judge sent me your email. Thank you for writing, I been trying different ways to try and get the word out about how serious this infection is. I been in touch with a woman in Georgia, her son almost died from MRSA and between us we have been trying to come up with ideas on how to spread the word. The newsletter is a great idea, thank you and god bless you for what you are doing. People really need to know about this.

Oh, how hard it must be to lose a child to MRSA, I can’t even bear to think about it–there could not possibly be anything much worse in the world.
