A Tremendously Touching MRSA Story

June 1st, 2006 · No Comments

In talking to people who have struggled with MRSA for over a year now, I hear inspirational stories a lot, but this one is quite an awe inspiring one. Dream Mom has been blogging about caring for her disabled teenaged son (Dear Son) for several months now. Dear Son, who has battled MRSA before, battled it again last month with MRSA pneumonia and septicemia. I will go ahead and tell you, he miraculously survived what could have easily killed a much stronger man than he. Some things are beyond our knowledge, I do believe. When you get into the critical part of the story, it is just like the one I lived and the one so many others that I know lived and are living now. This was a horrendous thing to go through with a spouse, I have always said, and continue to say, that it would have been unbearable to have happening to one of your children.

Read all of her blog, it is truly inspirational. Compared to Dream Mom, my caretaking history was absolutely a walk in the park (thank God). Their recent MRSA nightmare is currently being written down with the first, second and third installments down and the rest to come. Dream Mom, you and your Dear Son are absolutely in my thoughts and prayers, which just doesn’t feel like nearly enough, but is all I know and have. Bless you.
