If you follow anything else I write on the internet, you will probably have run across my mission of informing people about the dangers of whirlpool baths. Not only is this a concern with salon pedicures, but it is a concern in whirlpool bathtubs as well - most especially those located in hotels and any other place that you are not the main bather. Your body is somewhat prepared to deal with its own bacteria, but when you throw in someone else’s bacteria, look out - you are asking for trouble!
Researchers tested 43 water samples from around the country and found that 95 percent harbored fecal bacteria, 81 percent had fungi and 34 percent contained potentially lethal Staphylococcus bacteria.
All the samples showed some microbial growth.

has anyone heard of or seen any research on a product called “Dr. Uhhira’s pro-biotics plus”? I would love to know if someone has done some research on this and maybe offer some hope.
