Brian Russell, safety for the Cleveland Browns has ended his season with a recurring Staph infection. This is his second occurance of Staph in three months, but he does not have MRSA.
Russell spent his sixth day at the Cleveland Clinic after undergoing another operation. A Browns spokesman confirmed that Russell had staph — the team had been awaiting results Monday — and said the club hopes the 28-year-old Russell will be discharged by the end of the week.
Brian Russell is the fourth Browns player to acquire a staph infection in the last two years - the others were Kellen Winslow and LeCharles Bentley, who acquired their infections after leg surgeries, and Braylon Edwards, with an infected cut on his elbow.

The Cleveland Browns stadium is on a closed dump (landfill). Most dumps contain carcinogenic chemicals. The soil is probably highly contaminated. Seems like a very dangerous and unhealthy place to play any sport, especially football.
