It is not a surprise that MRSA has made its way to New orleans or even to the Rita Victims. I’m shocked that companies did not step up to the plate and provide disinfectants before now.

There is a local Louisiana based company that has been helping schools and local groups to help fight staph. I came accross then by accident when looking for another skin ailment and I am very impressed with their concentrated disinfectant and the ready to use disinfectant.

Q-based healthcare out of Erath, Louisiana has a division called PuraCleenRx. They market to individuals and also commercially their hospital grade disinfectants and skin disinfectants. I personally use the disinfectants as mrsa prevention in my home.

Has anyone used these Q-Based Products? I went on their website and have looked for product reviews and have not come accross any reviews.

I’m considering ordering some products, but would like some feed back. I will search more. I did call however and have determined that the products are registered, so that makes me feel better to use them as staph disinfectants.

I’m concerened with staph in schools and see that they do have articles and press releases of what they have been doing.

    Please advise.

I have proactively protecting my family from staph after my 15 year old came home with staph. He was hospitalized for 5 days before we came home and it came on so quick!

I saw the posts above and contacted the school my child attends. I saw that they were helping schools with the staph epidemic and helping parents.

Additionally, I called the company and ordered some disinfectant and body wash to keep staph off my surfaces in my home and also on my families skin. There was a lot of information they provided me regarding staph and on being proactive.

I requested the MSDS sheet on the PuraCleenRx disinfectants and I am quite pleased with its efficacy. The products are also registered and that gives me a better sense of security knowing it’s being regulated somehow.

I also requested from Q-based the MSDS sheet on the body wash. The active ingredient is Triclosan and it is commonly used in hospitals to treat MRSA. So that gave me a good sense of security too. My family uses the body wash each night instead of soap to bathe and I also have a 16oz bottle at every sink in my home for hand washing.

My family now makes a conscious effort to wash our hands regularly. I recommend Q-based Healthcare for their PuraCleenRx disinfectants and body wash. http://www.qbased.com

You can also go to the stamp out staph website which discusses how they are taking an active role in schools and educating parents. They helped me and maybe they can help another parent who doesn’t know what to do to protect their family. I hope by sharing my experience that I will be able to help another family.
