Four year old Caleb Noblitt survived an MRSA infection in his pelvis and spine, and is part of a video on channel 4 in Denver – looking just as vibrant as a little child should. Bless his heart, I can only imagine what his family has gone through!

I’ve gotten MRSA almost a year ago myself. It got inside of my body and attacked my respitory system collapsing my right lung. I got a few surguries and was attatched to draining tubes for about a month or so in the hospitol. It wasn’t a very good expirience.
But, I am now 17 and I’m doing absolutely wonderfully! Sometimes my chest feels a little tight in the mornings but other than that, I’ve had no problems!
Your son.
He is very lucky to be alive.
I couldn’t be more happy for you.

I have had MRSA for about 3 1/2 years. I had two pretty terrible go rounds with it, one requiring surgery before the boils went so deep that I would lose my arm. It hurts immensely, and it’s an aweful thing to get because you don’t know how long it will take until they find an antibiotic that will work right for you… hopefully before the infection and its affects are devistating. It almost seems like “remission” in between bouts… but every pimple, blister or cut worries me now. And if it starts looking like it’s infected, I go to the doctor right away. I’ll always be a carrier. And just because I’m contageous, doesn’t mean anyone will every get sick from me. My husband is probably a carrier thanks to me, but has never been sick. Of course if he ever gets an infection, I’ll be taking him in right away too…..Good luck to all those out there suffering….

God bless Caleb and his family and I pray this journey won’t be a long one and that someone finds a cure. and bless everyone else out there who are carriers and their families. I am looking mrsa a lot ( that is how I came across here ) since last holidays when I found out I have a few family member that are carriers. and now it seems to be spreading massively. I do worry for my children and other family members. But I worry more for those who are already infected. I wish you all the best of luck and a cure soon!
God Bless!!!!!!!

i ALSO HAVE MRSA HOPEFULLY IT WILL BE OVER SOON. I HAVE 11 MORE DAYS ON MY ANTIBIOTIC. i HAD IT IN MY BLOOD AND SPINE AND LUNGS. i WAS MISDIGNOSTIC . AND ALMOST DIED.
Brittany // Nov 4, 2007 at 3:51 pm
I was misdiagnosed for almost 2 years. I actually had MRSA and they told me it was just a simple staph infection and sent me on my way. In February I was finally diagnosed correctly and I was banned from school for about a week. It was too late though by the time they got me on my medicine MRSA had been in my system for 2 years and by getting on the medicine it sent it into my bloodstream and I wound up in ICU for a week and when I was in there they diagnosed me with MONO as well. I managed to give it to two teammates of mine before we got it under control. I’ll pray for your son and I hope he never has to go through it again.

HELP ME PLEASE my school just got special sanitizer espielly for mrsa. bless everyone that is dealling with it
Nicole // Nov 14, 2007 at 10:07 am
MRSA is not airborne. If you read and listen to the reports, that is the one way you will not get it. You can only get MRSA if you come in contact with the wound of the patient. I’ve had MRSA a few times and am battling it again as we speak. The nurse at the hospital last night assured me that I cannot spread it unless someone touches my wound. If you do have MRSA, get it treated immediately and you will be fine. Good luck!

We think that my nephew may have MRSA. My dad is taking him to the doctor again as I type. He was taken to the doctor yesterday and they said if he wasn’t better this morning, they were going to put him in the hospital. He has a small spot that came up on his leg Thursday night and they drew a circle around it. they gave him 2 shots and antibiotics, but I don’t know if it worked. I pray that MRSA is not what he has right now. He is only 1 year old. Please pray for him. God Bless everyone here who has gone through this.

i was told that i may have mrsa and i am really scared. my four month old son may have it too. he has a sore in his scalp and has had iot for a while now. i was told that it could come from hospitals . i wonder if that is where we caught it if we do have it. if not, i thought his area in his scalp was cradle cap and i would scratch it with my nails. that could be a source of infection. god bless all of you. im praying for everone.

I have been reading all of these stories. My grandson has been diagnosed with mrsa. It was about 7 months ago. He has had several sores come up. We cannot get any satisfaction from the doctors. They act like it is not a big deal. I am so worrried about him. He is only 2 years old. He now has a sore on his tail bone at the top of his bottom. His dad is also getting sores too but they say his is strep. Has anyone delt with this kind of situation? Please help!

Hi everyone! and good luck to you all, I have had MRSA for at least the past four weeks, it began as a small boil that grew overnight and was extremely painful, I have had in total four boils in four weeks, I have been told different things by different doctors, do you ever get rid of this??? thanks to a co worker who didn’t share that he had it until it was to late, be sure to inform people, don’t be embarrassed this is not your fault. Wash wash wash.

Help! I need to completely understand this…My husband has just been diagnosed with MRSA and I have six kids to watch out for, is it airborn? The Rn told my husband it is not contagious, the problem is I have read it is, can someone please clarify this for me? Im so worried for our children!
Angelica // Mar 7, 2008 at 1:23 pm
Hi Chistina! This NOT airborn. But keep your husband’s clothes, towels, etc…away from your kids and make’em wash theirs hands all the time, and most important do not let them touch any wound.Take care yourself too. Good Luck!
I’m praying for all of you guys!!!
Angelica // Mar 7, 2008 at 1:35 pm
Keep personal items personal. Avoid sharing personal items such as towels, sheets, razors, clothing and athletic equipment. MRSA spreads on contaminated objects as well as through direct contact.
Keep wounds covered. Keep cuts and abrasions clean and covered with sterile, dry bandages until they heal. The pus from infected sores often contains MRSA, and keeping wounds covered will help keep the bacteria from spreading.
Sanitize linens. If you have a cut or sore, wash towels and bed linens in hot water with added bleach and dry them in a hot dryer. Wash gym and athletic clothes after each wearing.
Wash your hands. In or out of the hospital, careful hand washing remains your best defense against germs. Scrub hands briskly for at least 15 seconds, then dry them with a disposable towel and use another towel to turn off the faucet. Carry a small bottle of hand sanitizer containing at least 62 percent alcohol for times when you don’t have access to soap and water.
Get tested. If you have a skin infection that requires treatment, ask your doctor to test for MRSA. Many doctors prescribe drugs that aren’t effective against antibiotic-resistant staph, which delays treatment and creates more resistant germs. If you’re having surgery, ask to be tested for MRSA one week before you enter the hospital.

Lynne // Mar 18, 2008 at 1:08 pm
I am a nurse and can I just say, MRSA is not a condition you ‘get’. It stands for methicillin resistant staph-aureus, Staph aureus is something most of us have on our skin anyway, and MRSA just means that it is not killed by methicillin, an antibiotic which is used to treat infections. It is only a problem if it gets somewhere it shouldnt be, i.e an open wound, which is no different to the staph aureus which is not resistant to antibiotics; It doesn’t give you sores, it is not airborne, you will only get a problem with it if you have a wound or opening where it can get it to the body, which can then cause infection, just the same as any bug. There are loads of people who are carriers, the same as there are loads of people who are carriers of normal staph aureus. You can have an underlying infection, which can be exacerbated by an infection with staph aureus, be it methicillin resistant or not, and if untreated it can cause a blood infection the same as any infection if left to spread. I get so mad when people say they had MRSA and it did this that and the other… they will have had an infection and the bug wil have just been resistant to the antibiotics normally used to treat the infections. If you are going to be worried about bugs, we have them on our skin anyway, and they are only a problem if they are allowed to get in where they shouldnt be. There are lots of people in the community who go about their lives as carriers and do not even know they are. I just wish the press would actually tell people the truth instead of trying to scare them by telling them horror stories of something they dont really have all the facts on.
Roxanne // Mar 18, 2008 at 7:29 pm
I am reading this and I can tell you, that I had no open wounds before I got an absess on my butt. I was just having a shower and noticed what looked like a small pimple. I knew that was wrong as I never get them there. As the night went on it grew fast and furious and it became hot. So before this I was completely fine and had no symptoms or sores. So who really has all the right information? Not real sure but I know that I can’t work and somedays I can barely move.
James Miglionico Sr. // Mar 18, 2008 at 9:54 pm
I was locked up in a County Jail for 7 months. There is communal clothing, and communal linen and blankets, communal showers, and generally packed spaces with cells designed for one adult man, where there are 3 adult men, and a small communal living area. As for the Nurse saying that you can’t “Get MRSA”, that is false. I Got MRSA in jail, unclean enviornments, it does spread, and will as rapidly as it can. It is true that MRSA is Methicin-Resistant-Staph-Aurelis, meaning, A Staph Infection that is Resistant to (some) antibiotics, specifically Methicin and Pennicilin based antibiotics, but Sulfur based antibiotics can be highly affective. I do also know that MRSA is becoming more and more resistant. The way to stem that is to stop pressuring Doctors for antibiotics when you are a relatively young and healthy individual who can most likely fight off most ailments with proper rest, food, and fluids. Its the overuse of antibiotics that has caused MRSA to happen.
Roxanne // Mar 19, 2008 at 8:05 am
It is funny that the nurse said you can’t “get it”. I do agree it is everywhere, but if it is not contagious how come we are using the universal procautions with this? I have3 nurses and doctors gloved and masked to the hilts and wondering why? Because you can get it! I now am going to see a infectious disease specialist to see if a coctail of drugs will do the trick, I don’t want them but I can’t work and I have wounds all over my butt, nurses come everyday and pack me. You know I still watch people come and go out of washrooms without washing their hans and before they eat, people need to be more aware of issues like what we are all dealing with in order to comprehend the importance of hygiene. And simple handwashing! Good luck to everyone who has delt with this or any other infectious disease, and thanks to everyone for letting me know we are not alone!
Lynne // Mar 21, 2008 at 12:22 pm
I have to say people have misunderstood when I said you cant ‘get it’. obviously you can acquire it but people are talking about getting it like it is chicken pox or a cold or something. I meant it is not an ailment or a disease you catch, it is a infection. you can acquire infecions and the reason people wear gloves ect is so they dont carry it elsewhere. People are saying they had MRSA, like they say they had chicken pox or measles or something, it is not a disease in itself, it can conribute to causing illness by infection. Thats what I was saying.

My son somehow contracted the MRSA bacteria. He had an abscess in his pelvic region, an epidural abscess that went from his L1 to his C1, necrotizing pnemonia, and the pleural space around his heart was infected with the bacteria. He never had any skin lesions and had been tested by a nasal swab 3 weeks before he got sick. I do understand that it can develop quickly. But the bacteria is very dangerous if not taken care of. We are not filthy people and we wash our hands and take our hygeine seriously. He never had any visable cuts or scrapes. It managed to get into his blood stream and cause serious complications. He spent 32 days in the PICU and another 7 on the pediatric floor after he was discharged he spent 6 months with a broviac for IV medication which we adminstered at home every twelve hours. After he had been home for 3 months he went back into the hospital with 2 gram negative bacteria infections in his blood stream. This created further complications because the MRSA bacteria is a gram positive bacteria so the same antibiotics would not work for both. I do understand that our case was rare but it can happen. It was not the intention of the media to cause a scare but rather to educate the community on how serious that ANY bacteria can be and to give the staff at the facility the credit they deserved and RARELY receive. They worked very diligently to find out what was making him sick and even at that it took 5 days. We felt very blessed to have our son at a facility that could intelligently care for him. There was several days that both the staff and myself thought he would not make it through. I can truly understand why people are concerned but it is our job to compasionately educate.

Well I am new to the MRSA deal to.. just got it about three days ago. This is nothing to mess with. I went in on Monday and I was told that I had a spider bite. By Tuseday morning I had a brite red line from my lower calf (were the infetcion started) all the way up to my groin. I went to the E.R. and got checked out. It was bad enough that I could hardly walk. I have been taking anti-biotics and its now getting better. I know I had it easy compared to alot of you.. but if you think you have it don’t hesitate to get checked… it’s not worth losing your limbs or worse…. good luck to all that have this miserable infection!!

My boyfriend got a tatto not too long ago and contracted som pimples, so we thought until he got a wopper on his rear end. It was big red knot of blood and puss. After that it went away. He then got two more tatto’s and one of them on his right leg is so infected that he can barely walk on it. He went to med center last week they gave him som antibiotics and sent him home saying it was staph infction. He went today for a check up & a different DR> is sayin MRSA & gave him even better anti biotics I wish they would just give him a shot for it. The only problem is he is elergic to pennicillin. Go figure!!! He is verry scared and thinks the worst! He did have it for a while before he whent to the doctor too! Just wondering if anyone knows what the chances of me contracting it from him?

Hello everyone,
About 4 weeks ago, I had seen a little red spot on the top of my head right by my hair line, I thought I had dry head, being as it was winter time…So I went out and bought me some dandruff shampoo… well a week later it was still there and a lot bigger… so then I concluded that it was a spider bite, because my family seems to get them a lot.. a week later I went to the hospital for it, they told me it was an abscess, well now this week I went back and there was a doctor from Chicago there and he told me automatically it was MRSA.
I am waking up with my eyes and forehead swollen, I am on an anti-biotic, and a pain killer… it does’nt seem to be working. So TODAY I will be going back, and hopefully this time they do something before it spreads all over my body.
katia // Apr 29, 2008 at 3:19 pm
I was diagnosed with MRSA after having a painful lump removed from under my arm. After researching it online, panic set in. After seeing an infectious disease specialist, reason set in. This is an infection, not a disease or lifelong infection. Be sensible and logical in regards to how you treat your body. Get enough rest and fluids. Eat right and exercise often to boost your immunity. Do not give the infection any reason to further attach itself to you. After a round of antibiotics and proper wound care, I began a round of MRSA cultures (from my nose, groin and armpits). The first was negative, and I just had the second culture taken today. In my region, we are considered “clear” of it after 3 negative culture results, but again, continue to be sensible. Maintain proper hygiene and be vigilant about any strange marks on your body.

Hello. I never knew that MRSA was so bad! I dont have it but my fiance got a 2nd degree burn on his leg and about 2 weeks later his leg was swollen 3 times the size as the other and he had a huge bump on it that broke open and started draining pus. we finally went to the doctor and they cut it open to let it drain further. the sad part is that about a month ago i had playfully bitten him and i accidently bit to hard and it got very infected and they diognosed him with cellulitis. they gave him antibiotics and he got better. they took a culture and never even bothered to tell us until we went in for this infection that his other infection was MRSA. does that mean i gave it to him? am i a carrier that is what is so called “colonized”? will he infect me because he didnt know he had it? i am pregnant. is it worst or a hazard for people who are pregnant? my only son is 1 and a half. should i watch out for him? please email me with some answers if any one with any medical knoweledge reads my comment.

Ok, so the conclusion.. I went back the the hospital because I couldnt afford the medication that they had prescribed me. The woman there told me ” Oh you really need to be taking your anti-biotic ” I said yeah I do know that, but it costs $112.00, and I am broke right now… and she said “well I can have you see the doctor and see if he can write you a different prescription for a cheaper anti-biotic.”I said, ” if I am going to sit here in the waiting room just to go back there, to have another doctor write me ANOTHER prescription that I CANT AFFORD, then I will just go home and suffer..
So I cried all the way out the hospital and on the way home.. but my husband had remembered that I had applied for medicaid for him,my son and myself.. so we decided to go down and talk to the caseworker and told her what was going on.. so she pulled out my file and she said she had not gotten to it yet, but she would TRY to get it done by the next day.. and we said ok thank you and left, hoping. Well about two hours later, I checked my phone, there was a missed call and a voice mail, it was her, she said she had gotten it approved, that I could come in and pick up my card the next day. Wow I couldnt believe it. Someone had the heart to stay after work and put me ahead of the rest of her work. After the hospital had treated me like shit. That made me feel great. So the next day I ended up getting the medicine they had prescribed me in the first place, im still taking it, and the bump on my head has really gotten a LOT smaller, so I think and hope it is going away.
But once the bump does go away.. should I be tested for it again or what should I do?
I feel so bad for anyone who has had or has this, it really is awful. May god bless you all.

And did you know that when your swab is clear, you should be tested for three consecutive weeks with neg results before you are clear? when I went in for number two the doc said I should always just asume I have it, you should do the same. Also anyone have rashes or burning throughout the body????

I had mrsa about 2 yrs ago, it appeared as boils on my abdominal region, it felt as if I had the flu and mono at the same time, I do not wish this terrible infection upon anyone, as it is very life threatining if left untreated. I remeber my doctor prescribed me dioxycylin to kill the bacteria, the antibiotic made me feel terrible but it cured the stahf. I glad to hear that the boy has recovered, he is very fortunate.

I have heard many stories across the nation of people who have contracted mrsa and about those people they know who have contracted. for those of you who have it my wife and i will be praying for you. Please make sure that whatever disinfectant you are using make sure that on the label it states that it is epa registered for killing mrsa. if you wish to speak with me or want more information you can call me at 888-712-7127 x 3768, or x 3769 Lilly who is my wife. please do not wait to find a disinfectant thats epa, mrsa is everywhere, in fabrics, hard surfaces, walls, chairs, and even your clothing. educate yourself, and protect yourself. james

I’ve been reading all the comments on here. this is awful and I’m very scared for her. my co-worker says it’s been going around our schools here in our hometown and I just have never heard anything about it. my great niece is 2 and she has “boils”, if you will, all around her groin area and thats it. I dont see her alot but I think she’s still in good spirits with it. Apparently, this is her 3rd episode with it. I pray for everyone who has this terrible disease. is it a disease? I’m not sure. I’ll keep reading. I dont wish this on anyone.

NEW ACTIVEPURE TECHNOLOGY PROVEN TO REDUCE EXPOSURE TO METHICilliN RESISTANT STAPHYLOCOCCUS AUREUS (MRSA)
A new technology known as ActivePure (RCI), developed by Tennessee-based EcoQuest International, has been proven in peer-reviewed, published university laboratory studies to reduce Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) on inoculated surfaces.
Recent outbreaks of MRSA in many school districts have had school administrators and parents concerned.
Based on NASA research, ActivePure (RCI) has been proven in laboratory testing at Kansas State University to reduce MRSA by more than 99 percent in 24 hours on surface areas. This has enormous implications for reducing exposure to infection-causing germs.
“ActivePure safely inactivates germs in the environment 24 hours a day, without sprays or wipes, the same way it happens in nature,” said EcoQuest Founder Mike Jackson.
“And, it’s convenient. One of our systems called the ecobox is about the size of a toaster,” said Jackson. “You can move it all around the environment.”
Testing also proved that the units reduce other bacteria, viruses, yeast, mold and fungi on surfaces by up to 99 percent. Products using ActivePure (RCI) have been installed in schools, day cares, nursing homes and restaurants. This technology is also available to consumers.
The use of ActivePure can reduce exposure by inactivating a majority of harmful bacteria, viruses and mold from surfaces in the protected area,” said Dr. James Marsden, Regents Distinguished Professor at Kansas State University and a lead researcher involved with the testing.
“In combination with good hygiene practices, such as hand washing, a reduction in bacteria and viruses on environmental surfaces could reduce the risk of infections,” said Marsden.

I’ve had MRSA since April of 2007. I know how painful & frustrating it can be. I had to have 2 removed I couldn’t walk, bathe or clothe myself because it was on my leg. It ran 8 inches down. Those were the worst 2 months of my life. I’m afraid of dying from this..I know what your son is going through..& I feel deeply sorry for him.

Mr.James Lee, a Chemical Engineer, is a West Point Graduate and was a Professor at West Point. He serves as an anti-terrorist consultant to Corporate America and Homeland Security.
outside consultant and not an EcoQuest Dealer, said that . EcoQuest has completely unique products.
How does the technology work? The RCI (Radiant Catalytic Ionization) takes water vapor and oxygen from the air and creates hydroperoxides, the most prominent of which is hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). This simple-looking but complex molecule has 2 negative charges and 2 positive charges. Microbes are drawn towards these charges. Hydroperoxides, he said, work 40 times faster than ozone. In an application environment, EcoQuest’s hydrogen peroxide concentration rises to .02 parts per million, which is 1/50th of the EPA 8-hour safety standard. We get a 90% kill in 1 hour and a 96% kill in 2 hours. Actually, higher kills—up to 99%—have been reported by Kansas State University.
According to Mr. Lee, corporations that install our technology realize these benefits…
ï·ï€ Reduce the number of absentee days, which contributes to productivity
ï·ï€ Lack of business interruption
ï·ï€ System pays for itself
ï·ï€ Increases employee confidence in the corporation
Many places need this technology. Staph is becoming epidemic in high schools, college gyms, health clubs, hospitals, clinics, and doctors’ offices. Many diseases are becoming resistant to antibiotics. EcoQuest technology can kill these germs including Staph and MRSA (Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus

I recently just found out that I have MRSA. Not only that, but I am 8 months pregnant. For the past 14 months, i have been told that the soars under my armpits, were just boils. Two days ago, I finally went to another doctor, and right away he told me the horrible news. I’m so scared to pass it on to my 19 month old daughter and boyfriend. They haven’t caught it, so they might not be carriers. The doctor said you can only catch it if you’re a carrier and touch someones infected area. I had no idea how I could have caught it, and in my armpits. Finally, I remembered my cousin having a boil lanced on her stomach area, and around that same time I had borrowed a bra from her. The doctor told me that her sweat could have been on the bra, and went into my pores. I am so scared, I’m only 20 years old. My baby is coming soon, and I don’t want her to have anything like MRSA. THe doctor also told me if I have to have a c-section, that it could cause a huge internal problem, and possible infect my abdominal cut. I’m truely scared, they hurt sooooo bad. My armpits are so gross looking, and I’m embarassed to wear anything sleaveless, for fear someone will see them. I probably get 3-4 soars a week. Good luck to all of you who suffer from this. I hope none of you get it as bad as I have it. Hopefully the medicines that the doctor prescribed me work. All I can do is pray and wait. Good luck to all of you.

Hello Ann;
This is for you. I want to inform you that the idea of only a carrier getting it, is silly. Your doctor should not have said that also he should have not said that only if you touch the wound. I KNOW i have not touched anyone’s wounds and I still have it. Also I do feel for you as I to have had the boils but on my bottom over my cyactic nerve. I too have had coctails of drugs and they tell me it is gone, I do not believe that as I still have moments of dizziness and burning in my body, always asume you have it. Clean your clothes with a bit of Javex and medical tools with Alcohol, and as always take care:)
Ann // Jun 13, 2008 at 9:26 am
i dont get buring throughout my body, but i do experience dizziness quit often. could that be related to this horrible infection?
Roxanne // Jun 13, 2008 at 3:08 pm
Yes, I do believe so. I have had alot of different things like rashes on my chest hands and arms, it comes and goes. I can’t find any cream to get rid off it when I have it. headaches, etc.
Ann // Jun 16, 2008 at 11:26 am
I got a call from my doctor this past weekend, and he said that my test results came back, and they were negative for MRSA. At my last doctors appointment, he told me that he was 100% sure it was MRSA. Guess what, he had me on multiple medications not safe at all for pregnant womaen. I immediately quit taking them. Thank you all so much for all of your support. Good luck to all of you. And all I can say is get a secong opinion, no one person is ever right.

My 1 yr old had MRSA in February of this year, the doctors that took care of her were awesome.
We took her to a childrens hospital and ended up having surgery to her leg. It was not a pleasant experience and to this day we are very afraid for her.

I had MRSA about a year ago. Is it possible that it comes back even if I’m not around anyone with MRSA infection? Is it rare for this to happen or is it very likely that i will get the sores again? After reading this it’s making me scared even though i’ve been fine for a while.
kaitlyn // Jun 24, 2008 at 4:47 pm
i too was told i had folliculitis, was on antiobotics cedaproxil somthing like that, it was fine but after 5 days of being on antiobiotics it started again like i got 2 new ones, is that normal for newones to happen during the course of antibiotic?. i went to the dermatologist a week after and he concluded it was mrsa but without skin testing me first like for cultures… put me on some new antiobiotic.. has anyone ever been through this and have they found a cure, does anyone believe in “NATURAL” cures out there. please i am soo scared i have a baby and a husband im so scared and everything ive been reading here makes me feel worst im so frustrated and just hope there can be something done to cure this terrible infection. please anyone out there know of something to kill this horrible thing.

I jus found out that my son has MRSA in 2 wounds on his knee. I work in the hospital, so I know a little about it-however this brings a new level of doubt. I have to say I have many of the same questions everyone else here does. Most of all, does it ever completely go away after the wounds heal, or must I always be afraid of it reoccuring? I know many of our patients in the hospital test positive as carriers after their nasal swabs come back positive. I just fear he will now have to battle this for the rest of his life. Glad to hear about Caleb, my prayers are with you tonight.

Marianne // Jul 15, 2008 at 5:17 pm
I was reading through some of these and got a little concerned. I myself work at a hospital and come into contact with patients daily with mrsa. It is uncurable at the moment, it can get or be in any organ or part of your body, and most importantly it can be airborne if the patient has mrsa of the sputum, so for those who THINK they know all the answers find out the real ones before trying to tell others wrong information and allowing the virus to keep growing. The only way to help yourself if making sure you wash your hands after touching daily things such as karts, food items, cell phones, purses, door knobs and so forth. The best of luck to everyone…this is a worldwide supervirus!

Hi, I have been trying to research MRSA for some time now. My 17month son has it. It started first with severe boils in his groin area and the doctor said it was MRSA and didn’t act like it was a big deal. My son has had ear infections since he was 4months old, and got tubes at 12months. The ear infections never cleared up, and we keep going to the ENT.
After me telling her that my son was treated with MRSA, she was concerned that it could be in his ears. Sure enough, she tested his ears, and the lab determined that he as the hospital type of MRSA. He has been on antibiotics since Sept. of 2007, and we can’t clear it up. We are thinking has had MRSA this whole time and we didn’t know it. So, I don’t know what to do. He is currently on antibiotics, and we see the ENT about every two weeks. MRSA won’t go away and I don’t know what I should do as a parent. If somebody has some good advice, I would love to hear it. Please help.

I visited my home country Iran for 2 weeks. During a trip through the jungle I got bitten by a bug named Dracula(Don’t ask me what it is).
When I came home to Sweden the doctors told me that my blood is MRSA infected.
This happened a few days ago so I’m still infected.
I feel fine and the doctors told me that I won’t infect other people as long as my “bug wound” stays closed.
The doctors told me that it won’t effect my life.
I can still workout, play soccer, you name it. How come this case and the cases all of you have been telling us about are so serious?

I work in a jail as others have mentioned too. MRSA is a major issue in that type of environment, as it is in hospitals and schools. Lately Ive been scared that I might have it because about a week ago I got one bump on my arm that looked like a pimple and the next day it flattened out but got wider and looks pink and dry like my skin is pealing in the center of it. Its a little smaller then a dime. few days later, I have more small bumps in the same arm, same side, as if creating a road. No pain. No open sores. they just look like a small rash or allergy. But now I am convince that I need to get checked for MRSA.
I feel bad for everyone suffering from MRSA and their family.
I cant believe there is no cure. If anyone knows, can you answer this question for me: is leaving with MRSA similar to living with HIV, or other body fluid contact deceases? I’m confused, is MRSA a virus or infection?

I want to buy something now to send with my child to school for there class to keep there hands nice and clean how scarey!

I found out I have MRSA in my armpit. It is awful. Being a college student with this is horrible. I cannot sleep at night for the pain and with limited funds already, it is difficult to keep up with the medical needs of this. I recently went from one open sore to one open and two closed in the same area. I have been on antibiotics for 4 days awaiting the culture tests but I dont know if they have worked at all. How long do these things drain for? Anyone know about when the sores start to get better at all because right now its so bad I have trouble concentrating in class and need this to get cleared up ASAP.

Krista,
I was diagnosed with MRSA last year. I don’t think it ever goes away, but I found a good remedy that will give you relief. I found this at http://www.earthclinic.com. The remedy is Turmeric. I’ve tried it and it works almost miraculously in making boils heal almost overnight. I drink a glass of warm water, with one teaspoon of Turmeric powder, 3 times a day. It only took like 2 days of that, for boils to heal. They just heal faster. Try it. Also wash the area with hydrogen peroxide and apply neosporin. I’ve also been to the doctor when I was first showing symptoms of this. They did put me on antibiotics that helped. But try the Turmeric. It’s just a cooking spice and can’t hurt. It helped me.

I have been diagnosed with MRSA and had an outbreak on each leg, for the past few years I have had leg and back issues, I’ve had MRI’s and all came back what looked like a herinated disc and they sent me to a surgeon well she said that there was a slight one nothing that would explain the aching and sharp pain i’m having. I’ve gone though physical therapy and nothing has worked. Now the weird part is that when I had the outbreaks and went to the doctors and she drained them and did a biopsy and thats when she called me to her office and said they found MRSA, while the wounds were open my legs weren’t as aching and tingling but now that 2 weeks have past and the wounds are closed my legs are hurting real bad as well as my lower back, could this be a sign that I have MRSA else where? Please i’m sick of being in pain and I want someones feedback if they have experienced the samething.
I’m so glad that little boy is okay!

My daughter got an infection on her lip and the doctor thought it was a cold sore but that night she woke me up in the night because her lip grew 3 times the size and she ahd it drained and took antibiotics then it happened again and she went on a low dose antibiotic as a preventitive which seems to have worked. My dad who also lives in another part of Calif. got a staph infection and now my husband has absesses in his mouth and he thinks he has a blood infection and we went to a walk in clinic and they did a strep test and we had to beg to get a blood test but the doctor said since he is taking antibiotics the test won’t give a true diagnosis so he suggested he go off the antibiotic for a couple of days but he is afraid to and I don’t believe that is true. Does anyone know if it is?? I pray that all you people will be healed in Jesus name and go on to be strong and that this wicked thing that comes from the pit and Satan will be irradicated. everyone is carrying mrsa its only when you have wounds, surgery, and your immune system breaks down that it attacks. and thats when they start surpression therapy. the only reason why they wear gloves and aprons is because mrsa particles stick on your clothes and if they dont wear aprons etc they have the risk of passing it on to other patients. hence why if you come in to contact with patients that have mrsa you have to wash hands and use the alcohol rub the hospitals have on there wards.

i have had mrsa for almost 3 years now and i am sixteen mrsa is from community or hospital i got mine from a high school not fun at all the infection is spread if the wound is open and is leaking that is the only time that it could be contagious or if the person is having an outbreak with it and they kiss or combine fluids or drink after it…. if u have it take care of it first sign put hot or warm compresses on it and take tylenol so u dont get a fever because that can cause to have more bumps and see a doctor asap to get antibiotics and please stay clean have hand sanitizer and antibacterial wipes trust me that will help lots i shout now my outbreaks dont happen very often because i do that trust me

He got pus out of his mines ususally just have blood in it……If there is some type of relief I would love to know what it is.

I am reading comments here that say MRSA is not airborne but my grandmother was had MRSA in her lungs and bloodstream. The doctors and nurses said that it WAS airborne. They required everyone who came in contact with her to wear gowns, gloves, and masks.
She eventually had to be put on a ventilator and we did not have to wear the masks anymore because the ventilator didn’t allow the MRSA to become airborne. A few weeks later the hospital said that she didn’t have MRSA anymore, they took her off the ventilator and sent her to a rehab facility where she went into respiratory arrest the same day she was transferred. The following day she tested positive for MRSA once again and her right lung collapsed. In the following days tests showed that she had severe brain damage from the lack of oxygen during the respiratory arrest. Our family decided to take her off life support but her heart stopped naturally just minutes before we were to meet with the doctor to tell him our decision. We had already told the hospital that we did not want her to be resuscitated, she passed away when she was ready which was somewhat of an emotional relief.

My daughter got MRSA from a scrape on her knee. when we 1st went to dr.’s they xrayed it and gave antibotic’s, next morning she had a red line about 1 inch wide and 6 inches up her leg! Back to dr. sent to hospital to drain and new meds. that worked. Back home 2 more of my girls contacted it , one had no cut or scrape. Our family dr. said we could be colinizing it in the family. We all used some tropical ointment up our nostrals and bathed in antibactral soap for 4 days. I went thruogh the whole house with lysol and washed all bedding. It seems to be gone now but what a scare.

I developed a freak infection in my right calf in May of 2007. I spent 5 days in the hospital…not exactly what you expect as a healthy 31 year old. While I was in the hospital, I contracted MRSA. I have been battling this for 18 months now. I am currently on antibiotics for another round of it. It does seem to go into “remission”. But we have not found the right combination of medicines. In the meantime, I now have chicken pox like scars. I am anemic and am experiencing some reactions to all the medicines. I hope and pray that you all get better. Btw….if you will lysol everything (including mattresses) you can keep people from catching it. My 15 year old daughter hasn’t gotten it yet. We’ve been very careful.

I was in the hospital for two weeks and have been home now for two weeks. I was treated for a MRSA soft tissue infection that started in my scrotum (swelled like a grapefruit) then extended all the over to my right flank to lower back. Doctors said I was two days away from being in the ICU. Two surgeries put two holes in my body to cut away the dead or dying tissue. Another surgery to replace the dressings and another surgery to hook me up to a wound vac. I was on various antibiotics via IV in the hospital to kill the MRSA bacteria and it worked! I was told I would need IV hooked to me via pick line an additional 4 weeks but then when was discharged I was prescribed Bactrim pills twice a day for 14 days which I just finished today. Blood results confirmed MRSA has left my body. My wound vac has already closed up my holes about 50% in just 18 days. My General Surgeon, Dr. David Crooks, was amazing. Without him I would have been transferred to a much bigger hospital further away. MRSA is not an airborne disease. You usually get MRSA the same way you do a common cold. Picking it up on your hands from then putting your hands to your face or to a pimple or wound. Check out the web site link I left here. KEEP YOUR HANDS CLEAN!!!
One final note: If you prescribed Oxycontin for pain, MAKE SURE YOU ARE WEANED OFF OF IT OR ELSE YOU WILL GO THROUGH NASTY WITHDRAWAL SYMPTOMS! That’s what I dealt w/ this week! That was worse then dealing w/ my wounds.
Sara // Nov 28, 2009 at 7:19 pm
Good job Chris ^ !! MRSA IS NOT AIRBORN!
Its actually on EVERYONES SKIN. I have had MRSA for 2years. I got it with my C-section with my son. My son has it also.
#1 RULE!! WASH YOUR HANDS WITH SOAP AND WARM WATER ((don forget under your nails))!! DRY COMPLETLY!! ((under rings n stuff))
Congradulations on your MRSA leaving your body by the way. Most of us arent so lucky.
MRSA is on the skin and it can enter the body through any kind of wound big or small. So keep em clean and dry. Good hygeine IS THE #1 WAY TO STAY SAFE!
MRSA can be kept under control. Caleb was young and for kids and older people its harder to fight. Im glad hes doing well, mom. I can only pray that my sons never gets that bad.
I hatewhen people are afraid to hug me if they know of my MRSA.. dont be stupid.
Found this that a nurse wrote. READ!!!

My son is four years old and about four days ago we noticed a mark on his forehead. We thought that it was just a bug bite. It was about the size of a green pea and when we woke up the next morning it grew to the size of a quarter. It has a red rusty colored topping covering the inside of the wound and it has now spread to the middle of his back. I need to know does my son have MRSA?
Holly // Dec 14, 2009 at 3:18 am
Just today I found out that I too have MRSA. As for you Amanda you need to get that checked IMMEDIATELY, like many people have said always assume it IS MRSA. I had a sore on my lip for about 5 days. I thought it was just a cold sore. I went in to the hospital last week and they gave me an atibiotic cream. I ended up with a lip 3 times the normal size, alot of leaking puss, and alot of pain. Please do not allow this to happen to you or someone you know. GET CHECKED. The doctor told me, in my first visit that it was a viral infection. In my second visit 2 days ago, they took a culture, and I recieved the results today. I was given a shot, and pills I have to take twice a day for a week. I will always have this, and will take much better care of myself, and my children. Please wash your hands MANY times a day. It is very painful, and I will always be scared that any cut or scrape can turn into this infection.

my grandpa was just diagnost with mrs he obtained it from hospital after surgery nurse say its only contagious if touch his skin or items his body has been in contact with she also informed me that even though some people may not get mrsa they can be carriers on skin and nasal cavities it is curable however it is very resistant to many antibiotics so its so its a matter of finding the right antibiotic for the strain you have cause it is constantly evolving so if you have had mrsa for a long time it can be cured if they find the right antibiotic before it does to much damage if your mrsa never seems to go away they probably havent found right antibiotic or someone around you is carrier or maybe home hasnt been disinfected good enough hope this is helpful

Colloidal Silver is the answer to MRSA…In a high PPM solution….Take it internally as well as topically

I’ve had MRSA for about 2 going on 3 years now. I wouldn’t never wish this on anyone. My first was when I was 8 months pregnant. All I could do is just sit in warm baths of water and take my antibiotics….ABSOLUTELY NO PAIN MEDICINE!!!! I just hope and pry it gets better as I get older, I don’t think it will though.

My son has been in the hospital now since New Years day. Took awhile before docs knew it was MRSA. He also got pneumonia, was put on an oscillator ventilator because his right lung collapsed twice. He had to be put on kidney dialysis but he never got any oozing sores. It went to his blood stream and he almost died. He is doing better today but still has a long road of recovery. If anyone can give me some more info on this please email me. Thank you. My son turned 12 on Sunday.

Hey Everyone,
I’ve been battling with this for almost a year now and it is an absolute nightmare, I know. I have found many natural remedy websites on the internet that have natural cures. The antibiotics only make your immune system weaker and the MRSA keeps coming back. Also, the MRSA is a superbug and adapts itself everytime you try a new antibiotic. How is it possible? Some think this Bug was bioengineered along with others like SARS, Swine and Avian flu? Either way, here are some things to try. If you spot a boil, soak it in hot or warm water to soften it. Once it is softened, try to squeeze it or drain it. If you can’t yet, then try Turmeric spice mixed with olive oil as a paste. This will help draw out the pus and make the boil rise up to a head. Once you see it come up, soak it in warm water to soften it, then try squeezing it then. Do this two times a day or as needed to drain the pus out of it. That is all you can do. Otherwise, if you do not drain it, you will end up in the hospital for surgery, or it might spread to your bloodstream. Another thing to try is ACAI BERRY juice. Once you notice a boil, take 1 ounce of the juice two times a day. The boils will go down immediately the next day. It will work, but I am not sure if it will permanently cure it. I also read that stabilized Garlic sold by Allimed has cured MRSA. But it is costly and some people might need to take 7 – 12 capsules a day to cure it. This will cost a lot. ACAI Berry is the Best for MRSA!
Joyce // Jan 13, 2010 at 10:07 pm
Also, many doctors and nurses are taking MRSA so lightly. The nurse who posted a comment above is an example of the same kind of thing you hear from them. They say don’t worry. Staph is on everyone. I’m sorry but I never dealt with this before in my life, why all of a sudden so many people have it now is very curious to me. It’s going around in school, children are getting it, athletes at the gym are getting it. Everyone is getting it. I’m sorry but this is an Epidemic, this is an Outbreak! This is not NORMAL! This is ENGINEERED! Stay away from Anti Biotics, which are also ENGINEERED! Anti= Against Biotics= Living
Doctors are Robots, they are all programmed. It’s hard to find a Doctor who can think independently.

I’m refering to (Chris 10/26/08) comments. My husband went to Urgent Care a week ago, he thought he had the flu. He was so dehydrated that he was given a bag of IV and sent home with pain killers because he also complained of lower butt spasms due to over stretching trying to reach an object at work. Another week went by and his left leg swelled by his butt area. Still complaining of no energy, weight loss, sick like flu symptoms I called our doctor. He told us to go to the emergency room and he will schedule an ultrasound of the area of his hip. We spent all day in emergency, test after test, Cat scan determined it was infected and it’s going down his leg. He was flown by helicoptor to the nearest major hospital. When he got there he had surgery to open it up. The surgeon said it didn’t attach to any muscle or other tissues but the infection was yellow puss everywhere in his butt/lower thigh area. After 3 days in hospital on 2 really high doses of antibiotics they told us it was MSSA not MRSA but MSSA. The bacteria got in his blood system some how, attached it to his weak area (his strained butt muscle) and grew. He is now on the correct fighting antibiotic to get better. Tomorrow is day 4 in hospital and he will have a tube put down his throat to reach his heart valve to see if the infection has reached his heart. After that determination, they will do a pick line for 24 hours, then maybe be released to go home with bags of IV for us to give him up to 4 weeks. They told us that pills will not kill this bacteria inside him he will have to have the IV pick line. A home nurse will come on a daily basis to check his incision (vac) and see if the IV pickline is not clotting, clean area etc. It’s a long process and we don’t know the outcome yet but he’s in good spirits. We still don’t know where he contacted this MSSA and probably never know. It’s scary to think children with weak immune systems out there get it and when you see a very strong person who went down hill very fast in one week, it really wakes a person UP. Good luck everyone. God Bless you.

My son got MRSA for the first time about a year ago. We have also gone through the “on again off again” thing. Like others who have said this, when I thought he’d finally overcome it, he’d get another postule or boil.
The first one was just a small pimple under his diaper. I didn’t think anything of it–just an isolated pimple for diaper rash. A week later, it looked bigger. I thought that was strange, so I touched it. Under the surface, it was HUGE! It felt like one of those giant marbles (and equally as hard). I took him to the pediatrician, and she recognized it as MRSA immediately and prescribed him the sulfur antibiotic. A few days later, it was oozing and bigger. They told me to bring him in right away. Apparently, it should have been drained, and because a whole week and a half had gone by since it begun, it had grown into separate and deeper compartments in his abdomen. I had to bring him in for several days to have it lanced and drained. He screamed and cried and begged for me. It was horrible.
My advice is this: if you have a boil and it has been diagnosed as MRSA (or you or a family member have had it before and you recognize it), puncture it and drain it yourself. My son had recurring boils after that, and after bringing him in multiple times to have it drained, I discovered I could bring him in for antibiotics and drain it regularly at home (like once a day or while changing diapers), and they cleared up much faster. He also didn’t have to go through such prolonged torture sessions. We’ve gone several months without an outbreak now, and I hope it stays that way.
Coincidentally, I just sent my husband to urgent care AGAIN because I am certain he has MRSA on his scalp. It started as a scab with an infection, or so we thought, and the doctor diagnosed it as cellulitis. NOPE. He’s been on antibiotics for 5 days now, and it’s oozing pus and blood. He’s been trying to drain it himself, but the pain is excruciating.
For what it’s worth, I have another toddler and have been able to avoid him getting the infection thus far. I think my family must be carriers, or something, because my father, brother, and sister have had it, and there’s no apparent reason. We have no idea where it came from. But the bottom and groin area seem to be really common, so watch out for those harmless looking pimples!

I have had staph for five years. However, it has about healed up. I had it a long time because I could not find a dermatologist who was competent until now. One tried a few different antibiotics – doxycycline, Keflex and minocycline. None worked. He had an assistant do a culture – she acted like it was her first day 0n the job – the culture came back with nothing – I think she botched it. The dr wanted to put me in the hospital. I didn’t want to go becasue it wasn’t that severe. I went to another dermatologist who told me it was roseaca – it was on my ear and forehead, and it had every characteristic of a staph infection. I didn’t go back. I next found a third dermatologist who said I had staph. I had done research on the internet by then to find out that bactrim/rifampin works about 95% of the time, so I asked for bactrim. The bactrim worked. The culture that this doctor did also came back with nothing; however, he didn’t get any fluid for the culture – in fact, I didn’t even feel the swab he used touch my skin. He was generally competent though. The bleach baths he had me take every other day worked wonders – just put 3/4 cup of bleach in your bath water and soak and rub off any dead skin from the infected site while you bathe. If the bactrim, minocycline, dioxycycline and keflex don’t work, try zyvox – all are pills. Some doctors don’t know to try all of these, and just want to put you in the hospital after a couple don’t work, or give up. It’s insane, but if you are generally healthy, it’s totally curable.

Hey, everyone. I just wanted to say that you do NOT have to let MRSA push you around. There are ointments you can use, and if you catch the “pimples” early enough, you can wipe them out without the use of antibiotics. ALSO, manuka honey (active 16+) heals MRSA, and so does 2.5 pH water from Kangen machines (water ionizer/alkalizer). Drinking green tea and taking the supplements that work for you will also help to cleanse your system of the bug, but it’s a long journey and you must be consistent.
I know about all of this because I’ve been caring for my husband and children, who have all had repeated bouts with MRSA. I had it once but wiped it out rather easily with bactroban and have not had it again…but I am building up my immune system, just in case.
Please don’t panic and don’t believe for one minute that your future relies solely on how well the antibiotics work. There are many options!
But be sure that cutting sugar out of your diet is a major help!

Hey Everyone,
I still have MRSA despite being put on three different kinds of antibiotics. You’ve heard the story before, it’s pointless! But anyways, I found three cures for MRSA and you can get them at the health food store or on Ebay. Please keep in mind though, that these do not actually cure MRSA from ever happening again. All they do is keep it quiet, or keep it at bay, which means no boils, no outbreaks…. These are the three cures.
1. Fish Oil Capsules (DHA/EPA) 2 – 4 caps a day (This will also cure Insomnia)
2. Vitamin D Three (Cholecalciferol) 20,000 ius per day
3. Acai Berry Juice (Half Cup/twice a day) – The second you spot a boil, take the juice and I’m not kidding you, the boil will be gone the next morning. If it’s a bad boil, then maybe you will need to take a Full Cup/twice a day. Either way, this is a miracle cure right here! I was stunned myself.
These cures will make the boils go away. But, the second you stop taking any of these cures, the boils will continue to recurr!
One more thing that works is Milk of Magnesia, rubbed or lightly massaged onto the boil continually for half an hour or more depending on the size of the boil. Do this every two hours. It is time consuming, but it works if you do it every two hours till the boil goes down to a small enough size. Do the same thing the following two days, until the boil is gone. This is a very time consuming method of treating the MRSA boil. Acai berry juice will kill it instantly.
If you take Fish Oil caps FIVE days a week, you won’t have any outbreaks. Same with the Vitamin D three, no outbreaks. Both of these two supplements also cure insomnia, which is how I discovered them for MRSA in the first place.
I have been doing a lot of experimenting and researching about MRSA. There is one last thing to try and that is Homemade Colloidal Silver. I am looking into purchasing one for myself and I plan on drinking two 8 ounce glasses of Colloidal Silver a day to see if this powerful remedy will destroy the MRSA bug forever. That’s what I’m hoping for! Otherwise, I will just continue to live with MRSA and treat those boils as they come up.
Good Luck!

I currently have a MRSA infection on my finger, treated with surgery and antibiotics. MRSA is nothing more than a resistant form of the very very common staph bacteria. Staph(staphylococcus) is a type of bacteria found PROBABLY on and in every person, animal, object, house, tree or whatever on the planet. Most antibiotics are easily capable of weakening the bacterias cell wall(think bacteria skin) enough to allow the body to destroy it, or stop the bacteria from reproducing so the body can “catch up”. What makes MRSA so devistating is that a good portion of penicillian based antibiotics and some others don’t work, so the body is incapable of stopping it. Also, MRSA is capeable of becoming resistant to nearly any antibiotic probably 100 times faster than any other bacteria, so when prescribed antibiotics its very very important for doctors to prescribe heavy enough doses for a long enough period of time(say 2 – 3 weeks versus 5, 7 or 10 day courses). Even more important is for the patient to NOT MISS DOSES OR STOP PRIOR TO COMPLETION of ENTIRE prescription. Overuse and misuse by doctors and patients alike has caused this epidemic. Lastly, MRSA is insanely common, just because it is on your skin(and it probably is), does not mean you will get sick or even need antibiotics. MRSA commonly lives in the human nose without ever causing an infection. What is important is hygene; teeth brushing, hand washing, showers and HAND WASHING. Also taking vitamins, eating healthy and getting plently of sleep can keep your body healthy enought to fight it off before it can cause an infection. The bacteria has to replicate faster than your bodies white blood cells can kill them to cause an “infection”. If you stay healthy there’s no reason you can’t Come into contact with MRSA and fight it off without ever even knowing it! Last tip of the day, keep your skin healthy(fish oils, lotions, vitamin E)- its your bodies biggest most effective barier to the outside world, take care of it!

Actually mrsa is airborne or can be if the person has the infection in their lungs or nasal passage ways. The nasal passages and nostrils has been shown to be a very common ‘nesting’ site on the human body with the mrsa-staph bug.

MRSA is resistant to antibiotics because of the unique biofilm that covers the staphylococcus aureaus bacteria. Salts that have low melting temps (= to room temp) are being developed to break up the biofilms so the antibiotics can reach the bacteria and function. These salts Aka ionizing liquids will be available soon. MRSA is not airborne. It can be spread only by contact (touching wound site) and droplet (drainage, etc). Many people are carriers of MRSA. It only affects those who have cuts, insect bites (hole in skin), or surgical wounds. It isn’t transmitted through kissing unless the infection site is around the mouth throat area. My grandpa had MRSA most his life but my grandma never had manifestations of the bacteria. She most likely was a carrier but it didn’t bother her. Some people have better immune systems than others. Doctors and nurses don gloves and mask because they can’t risk spreading it to other sick people who have suppressed immune systems. Bacteria aren’t all bad… For every one human cell in our body we have approximately 20 bacteria cells. These bacteria help keep us healthy and fight off the bad ones. Feel free to correct me or debate a little on what I have said. MRSA infections will be cured in the near future. I am certain of this. I am currently a student nurse pursuing a doctorate. I research this alot because my girlfriend is having trouble fighting it every year. If you have questions ask. I may have an answer or know someone else who can answer.

I hate to say it ….but MRSA CAN BE AIRBORNE!!! AND…YOU CAN INDEED CATCH IT EVEN WITHOUT CONTACT TO A WOUND!!!!!!! This is so important to know if you have MRSA!! Did you touch an open wound? Prob not!!! If you have CA MRSA you prob caught it through the air or gym or shopping cart handle and so on. People who contract this horrible bug generally have high lactic acid levels and/or have had a long history with antibiotics…after all….ONE OF THE MAIN REASONS MRSA IS ON THE RISE IS THE OVERUSE OF ANTIBIOTICS!!! The vast majority or your community comes in contact with MRSA a hundred times a day..it is EVERYWHERE! It’s your immune system-life style-etc. that determines your ultimate contraction. PS…cut out soda, coffee, and sugar (especially sugar) when dealing with an outbreak…MRSA loves sugar! Anything green is MRSA’S ENEMY!! God bless all my fellow suffer’s..u r not alone!!! love ya

I know what you are saying! I have research to back that up on our website. I had many people tell me I did not know what I was talking about but this was proven back in 2002 in Japan. So why has it taken so long for people to believe it?

MRSA, Oh yes. I believe it was Mayo Clinic that said that 80% of MRSA is gotten at Hospitals or Nursing Homes. The medical industry will NOT be honest with you and let you know of their MRSA outbreaks. They don’t want to have you take legal action.
Have you ever noticed a sign at a hospital that warns you of a MRSA outbreak? No, and chances are you never will. I recommend that you contact the Health Department at your state’s capitol and ask them to send you information on how they protect the public against MRSA, and do they post signs when they have an outbreak. If not why? likely they will tell you they aren’t required to, and that the whole world carries the germ. Ask them why most people get MRSA at hospitals, and or nursing homes. They ”
I contacted MRSA, and I have no doubt in the ER of a large hospital. My MRSE boil exploded during my sleep and you could see into the center of my hip…….MRSA had arrived. I was told there was only one antibiotic that could possibly help me. They had it, gave it to me intravenously, and it eventually allowed the opening to close about 3 months later. I have since then gotten about 25 boils total. For about the first 8-10 of them. I had to go to the ER to have antibiotics injected intravenously.
My immune system was so low that I got breast cancer, shingles, vertigo and a few more all within about 10 months.
Need I say, the pain is unbelievable. I not only thought I was going to die, at times, I didn’t care if I did. When health facilities keep their establishments cleaner, we will see a much lower outbreak of MRSA. I believe that 110%.
