Hi Everyone,

I am now back in NY from Florida. Unfortunately I came down with the flu while in Florida. I wanted to take this opportunity to remind everyone about flu shots. I am unable to get flu shots because of an allergic condition. The last thing any of us needs is come down with the flu.

I particularly want to suggest to the “caregivers” in our group that you please don’t forget to take care of yourself. As “caregivers” we always leave ourselves for last. Please be aware that the flu season is here and take precautions to protect yourself and your family. It is not to late for you to get your flu shot. Caring for someone who is ill can present so many obstacles and challenges. Not the least of these is the physical drain on the health and well being of a “caregiver.” You will find yourself far more suspeptible than you have been in the past. Please take care of yourselves.
