Isis Nizer is an 11 year old girl in Ocala, Florida who is now suffering septicemia resulting from a kick to the leg way back in November.
Isis first developed a blood clot in her thigh bone on Sunday after her knee injury. She was transferred to Shands Alachua General Hospital for treatment.
By Monday she had heart and lung infections.
Monday night she was in septic shock and doctors eventually decided that she was infected with an antibiotic-resistant bacteria, called MRSA, or methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus.
Three months after her injury, she still lies weak and clinically depressed on her bed at ICU in Shands AGH, her body trying to get rid of the persistent bug. Source

I’m so sorry to hear about Isis! I’m thankful though to hear she’s pulled through this far. My son is 4 and he just got diagnosed with MRSA. He developed a boil type welt on his knee and I was told it was highly contagious…. and we live in Ocala Florida also. I’m trying to learn more about the illness… any advice?? I’ll keep Isis in my prayers. God bless.

I’m so sorry for your daughter–I hope she will be able to make a full recovery soon. My mom has been in the ICU on and off at Alachua General for recurrent MRSA infections in her spinal column. It all came from a back surgery last May. It’s frustrating not knowing when and if someone can kick this bug for good. I pray your daughter will have her youth on her side and have a beautiful childhood as a result.

isis nizer is my granddaughter she has spent 120 days at shands agh she is a long way from well but doing much better she takes shots twice a day and lots of medicines.erin q I pray your son will get well.Isis mother works at hair plus in the ocala mall by jc pennys just go in and talk with her she is a book of knowlege about MRSA our prayers and spirit with help us through this nightmmare god bless you and your family grandma karen

I’m so sorry to hear this. I hope she feels better. My 3 year old daughter just got diagnosed with this, she is on septra medication and it looks like it may be going away, but this is something that has been happening to her for about 6 months now. The doctor puts her on medication and it goes away and a month later it comes back. I don’t know what to do anymore. Any advice on what I can do? I also have a 2 year old that got it, but it looks like hers is gone, i havent seen any bumps for about 4 months. If you have any information you can share with me please inform me.

Does anyone know any updates on Isis? She reminds me so much of my daughter. Has anyone read or heard anything about the healing effects of Active Manuka Honey? It is from New Zealand and is used in treating MRSA! I found this out by doing my own research. I myself am a 22 yr old female and I have a 4 yr old daughter and we both have MRSA. I currently have a mrsa infection right now and I am waiting for the Manuka Honey to come.
