MRSA Notes

Tony & Barbara have spent the day in Baltimore, MD today. I think they went into Washington DC with Jeff and James. Tonight is the informal meeting at Baltimore’s inner harbor. I hope they’re having a good time. A lot of good has been accomplished already on this journey. Tomorrow Tony will be meeting with Diana Olson from IDSA. I wish I could be there. Diana has been so helpful and supportive. What a great organization. Last week she sent me a link that people could use to encourage political leaders to support research into new antibiotics. It’s a very important factor in this picture. Of course, prevention is the goal, but for the good of all, treatment options must be addressed! It is a frightening thought that there are infections today which are untreatable because they are resistant to all antibiotics known to man.
