Our weekly MRSA chat is coming up on Thursday, at 10 pm Eastern time. I am giving you a couple of days notice for the chat this week, I hope some of you who haven’t come by yet will make a point to join us this week. We are also doing a chat geared towards our UK friends, starting at 4pm Eastern time (9pm London time), and everyone is welcome there as well. I also hope to see some of the friends from the past chats that I haven’t seen in a bit.
To get to the chat, register (if you haven’t already) and log in at The SuperbugWiki Discussion Group, and click the FlashChat icon just above your name at the upper right of the screen. We really hope to see you this week!
Love,

I was just diagnosed with MRSA 1 month ago. The infection site is on my right and left abdoman. I have a wound vac on the right after one surgery to I and D. The wound on the left is healing well but the wound on the right has a tunnel that will not heal and now has hard lumps all around the wound that appear to be pockets of more infection. I don’t know how to get through this. I have a home health nurse that comes 3 times a week but it feels like It’s never going to go away . It’s painful and I want to be rid of this wound vac. I am so sick of keeping a brave face while people stick q-tips and metal scrapers into the wounds and dig around. Finally they are applying lidocane to the area before they do all their poking and prodding. so the area goes pretty numb. But afterward the pain is back. Does this ever go away! I have 3 children and a husband at work long hours. I know I need to keep the house very clean but it’s so hard dragging this pump around trying to push past the pain and clean. If anyone out there could offer help, a story, anything, I would love to hear it. Thank you. God bless.
