I finally got around to making a poll, so please, help a girl out by answering it. If none of my answers suit you, you can add your own. Here it is as well, nice and convenient:

It is very difficult to read the poll in the sidebar. The silver script on the red background is nearly impossible for me to read. If you get too few replies, try it again with an easier color scheme. Just a thought- M.

Thanks, M. I thought that too, but hadn’t taken the time to mess with it. I hope it is better for you now.
Josie - read my husband’s story if you would like - he had MRSA that started in an ingrown hair on the back of his neck - you can find it at http://www.mrsastory.com, or in an easy to read format at http://www.mrsaresources.com/marshallsstory.pdf.
Take care of yourself and stay in touch with your doctor, please.
Thanks to both of you for taking the time to comment.

i wonder how effective tests are..my 2 children have been teseted neg for mrsa but pos for staph
my daughter gets recurrent boils
my son skin infections/absess from sports equipment
my brother has osteomylitis and my father died of a staph infection in the bloodstream
i am now terrified of this illness and wonder about the neg tests

Hi Gladys,
Don’t be terrified, you are doing the right thing and learning about it. Staph in its regular form is plenty common, I am sure your tests are accurate. Encourage them to be absolutely obsessive compulsive in their cleanliness and to eat right and get plenty of sleep at night. Please feel free to join our forum if you would like to (http://www.forum.mrsaresources.com), there are tons of folks there going through the same thing you are, and maybe you could get some more encouragement there. I hope to see you, and take care.

Does anyone have any information what local school districts in south jersey are doing to prevent outbreaks of MRSA?
