My Heart Goes Out to AtomicTumor

November 6th, 2006 · 4 Comments

AtomicTumor, from my old hometown, Oak Ridge, Tennessee (well, I am from Knoxville, but they are absolutely right on top of each other) is blogging his heart out, as his wife is currently going through a horrifying battle with septicemia.

Their story is so familiar - it is the same exact story as our MRSA story. I don’t know that the infection is the same, but whatever the individual bacteria may be, the symptoms and the progression of her illness is just exactly the same. Please, oh please, keep them in your prayers - the doctors are doing all they can, prayers are needed to get them through.

Please stop in to AtomicTumor and give him your well wishes, his blog is therapeutic for him, and I know every little glimmer of encouragement right now will be helpful to him. His site is working very slow right now, as he is getting a great many visitors, so be patient. Their story begins here, on November 1st, with “flulike symptoms,” that have quickly escalated.

Here is our MRSA story in PDF form, if that is more convenient to read…

Good luck AT, we are sure praying hard for you and your family…

And thank you BusyMom, (see also GenBetween) for telling us about this story…

Thank you for helping spread the word.

Busy Mom - the internet is a wonderful place, no doubt. Thanks so much for making us all aware of their battle.

Bos - hang in there - your prayers and strength are going to get her through this. One day she will say she wouldn’t have survived without you.
